Christensen Arms barrels are designed using precision engineering adopted from the aerospace industry; Christensen Arms Rem 700 compatible carbon-fiber barrels are crafted using a proprietary layered design that offers any marksman superior accuracy and performance. The barrel lining is made from match-grade 416R stainless steel and is measured to a tolerance of +/- .0001. This barrel is a 27-inch 338 Lapua Mag match chambered with a 1:9.3 twist, hand-lapped target profile barrel. Currently offered for Remington 700 actions only. 416R Stainless steel core. Button rifled. Includes muzzle end thread protector. Weight estimate: between 2lb to 2lb 15oz. Both Sporter and Target barrels start at 1.20″ diameter and finish at .920″ and have the same internal steel core. Sporter barrels taper off quickly, therefore being lighter for hunting situations, while Target barrels taper gradually, making them more rigid and ideal for long range target shooting.
