I’m sure the 22 LR is ok in The Peoples Republic of California; Is the 22 LR/22 Mag combo ok there as well?

Hi Mark and welcome. Yes, 22 Single action revolvers are grand fathered in as being CA legal without having to be on the CA DOJ Handgun Roster. Details under Handguns here : budsgunshop.com/feeds/state_reg/california_restrictions.pdf

Hi Mark, yes sir, this is CA compliant. Permissible handguns that are NOT on the handgun roster:
✔ Single-action revolvers that have at least a 5 round capacity with a barrel length of at least 3 inches and an overall length of at least 7½ inches are permitted.

yes it is CA legal as most single action revolvers are allowed without being on the CA DOJ approved list Single-action revolvers that have at least a 5 round capacity with a barrel length of at least 3 inches and an overall length of at least 7½ inches are permitted
