I just bought my XDM 3.8 9-mm last August and I bought the last one that came with the essentials package. If they sell you one without the essentials package you will basically get a generic case and 2 mags along with the standard slide lock and paperwork.

They may have limited some items from the package as noted in the other post, but Springfield is running a "gear up" promotion until June 30th where you can get the holster, mag pouch and 4 extra mags with the purchase of a new SA pistol.

They just cut out the mag pouch, paddle holster and lockable case. It still comes with the a case, gun lock and two magazines.
