Striker fired guns are usually considered double action only, but it has the same trigger pull each time.
Buy the price this is satan's pistol. Stay away from it.
This is a STRIKE FIRE pistol. Which is slightly different to double or single action. However, the M&P line pistols are listed by manufacturer as technically DAO (double action only). I hope this helps
The M&P series are striker fired, not really double or single action, it has short take up, hits a wall then breaks clean, the action cycles, then the trigger has a short reset and a clean break for.quick follow up shots.
No restrike capability.

Robert, S&W lists this as Action: Double Action Only (Striker Fired Action). What this means is that racking the slide pre-cocks an at-rest striker and the trigger pull finishes cocking the striker, then releases it to fire the pistol. The firing/cycling of the slide repeats this process until the pistol is empty.
