  • This Ruger Precision Rifle model is 18004 and when asked Ruger about this model they didn't have it on their records. The closest one was the Ruger Precision Rifle model 18028, so what's the difference?

  • Gilbert, Ruger came out with model 18004 in 2016. That was the Gen 2 .308. They then upgraded to Gen 2/3 .308 in model 18028. Model 18001 was Gen 1 and 18004 Gen 2 neither produced any longer. Difference is 18004 had longer keymod rail, 18028 has shorter mlok rail to get optic lower.

  • Hi Gilbert, this is the older original Keymod model RPR. There has bee 2 revisions by Ruger since this model.
