Gilbert, Ruger came out with model 18004 in 2016. That was the Gen 2 .308. They then upgraded to Gen 2/3 .308 in model 18028. Model 18001 was Gen 1 and 18004 Gen 2 neither produced any longer. Difference is 18004 had longer keymod rail, 18028 has shorter mlok rail to get optic lower.
