I kept the packing slip from Bud's, which had the serial number on it, and scanned it so I'd have a digital back up. I also took photos off the serial number on the gun itself. Did the same with the rifle I bought through gunbroker.

First check with the FFL dealer you transferred/ bought it from. Second (or first) contact your local police and advise them of the theft.
and finally what did you do with the receipt from where you purchased the gun from. Not having a record is/was pretty naive of you -

First off you need to ask a question with more history, You ask Your gun was stolen.....
Ok where was it purchased from?
If you cant or dont have a record of this, , WHY ????
If you have more, ( And I am hoping you dont ) have you photographed each one with the serial number, then send or save it on your computer or files anywhere?
Your question is , well my dog ran away, would anyone know where he went?
