Amazing, for the price! Not heavy (imo) but, Built like a tank. Best part is the ejector spits out the shells (with authority). Nice truck or ranch gun. Easy take down to place in your hiking pack/ backpack/ hunting pack or "go bag". Comes with one choke & wrench, believe this one is a "full" choke and I believe there are other chokes out there. This compact model has shorter over all length & length of pull. I think it's great for the bush walks & brush busting and small game shooting.

A camo paint job, a turkey choke and you have a light little turkey shotgun that patterns very well and an ease to carry. Also the trigger isn't bad at all for a low priced firearm.

I was looking for a shotgun for dual purposes; one as a back-up gun for my small game hunting, and also a "youth" size for smaller shooters entering the sport.
This does both, if I use a slip-on pad to extend the pull for myself. It's a close design to the old H&R single barrel shotguns of yore, which I used as a kid.
Always leery of imports, I needn't have worried. The Savage/Stevens quality control is there, and I was very impressed and pleased with this model. Fit, finish, function, tight lockup, it's all there. No negatives that I could find; I'm a happy camper!

Gentleman that was in the shop when I picked up this shotgun told me he had one like it that his grandpa gave him over 50 years ago, and that he still loved to hunt with it. I hope my grandson can say the same 50 years from now. very good looking and well made gun. I am tempted to buy one like it in a 12ga, and go hunting with him.

What's not to love? It's a lightweight 20 gauge with an ejector. Some hollow space in the stock, too, for the outdoor survivalist type.
There was some peening on the outer edge of the chamber mouth after the first outing from opening and closing it (gently, release down of course, Mama didn't raise any Hollywood hacks). However, since these were on the outer edge, I'm confident in the gun's continued usability.
Ejector works well.

I couldn't hit a 12 inch Target at 10yards in 7 shots with a slug, finally gv up lol I'm not best shot in the world but this gun is the worst shotgun I've ever shot, sold it same day I shot it for 80$ and felt sorry for new owner

Good shotgun for the money, I got the youth model very handy to have on the wheeler easy to get out of the scabbard. I changed the modified choke to a Carlson full turkey to get more distance out of the 20" barrel worked great decent pattern out to 40 yds. or so

Shotgun was shipped quickly and arrived in excellent condition. Shot for the first time this weekend..skeet practice just to see how it performed. Love this little shotgun. Fits my short arms and comes up quickly...very easy to get on target. Purchased to use the easy take-down feature and take camping.

Came with a few minor scratches but no worried about that. Nice looking shot gun, should be easy to handle for my girlfriend to use. I have purchased over 10 guns from Bud's which in it's self should tell you how I feel about them. Used or new description of gun is always as described. Good place o do business with.

The Stevens 301 Youth with 22 inch barrel is quickly becoming my favorite shotgun! Trigger has no creep, take up or stack and breaks clean at about 7 lbs. The ejector launches the empties into the next county. With the modified choke tube #3 buckshot patterns under a foot at 15 yards and about a foot and a half at 25 yards. The group is centered at point of aim. Top of receiver is cut down so that the bead can be used for sighting and POA equals POI. It does come with a choke tool. It is a flat piece of metal and can get lost in the box, so look for it. Made in China by Sun City Machinery. Plastic trigger and trigger guard, will see how it holds up. Buds was great as usual. Ordered it on Monday, it arrived at my FFL on Wednesday. Best $140 you can spend on a versatile 20 gauge.

The Stevens 20ga youth 22 inch single shot shotgun is the finest Close Quarters Battle implement ever devised. This gun in two words: AWESOME, and, FUN! Cons – none. Pros – Stevens has corrected every problem with the no-longer-made NEF Pardner. Out of the box it already has a recoil pad, swappable modified choke tube, textured thumb release for wet handed grip and cut down rear notch so that it shoots to point of aim. The 22 inch tube makes it a great upland bird or slug gun. The 12.75 inch stock makes it handy for home defense and CQB. It has a black parkerized type finish for easy care and a takedown button for rapid stowage in a backpack. The injection molded stock and forearm are properly sized and contoured for excellent grip. I could not get through 10 rounds in an NEF Pardner without it killing my shoulder. I shot a whole box out of my Stevens 301 and barely felt it. This is truly the gun you want to get for a Close Quarters Battle implement, plinker shotgun, youth trainer or home defense. It is the best $140 I ever spent. I have already ordered a second one. They are made in China. Ships with a lock and one choke tube installed. No choke wrench but you will not need it – hint, use a dime to tighten or loosen the choke tube. I cannot stress enough that you should order one of these before they are gone. This is the gun I always wanted as a kid but they did not make it – they only made those shoulder-hurting NEF blasting sticks. This firearm is so accurate, effective and versatile that I will be surprised if militaries and police everywhere do not adopt it as their primary CQB shotgun. It is just that good. Buds was great as always. Ordered on Friday, had it in my hand the next Tuesday. Cannot say enough great things about doing business with Buds.
