Super cool looking 12g. Fun to shoot and reliable.

Of all the shotguns I've owned during my 50-year lifetime, this bullpup is my favorite. It's compact and incredibly fun to shoot. I keep it loaded with home defense buckshot, which cycles perfectly. It's a real head-turner at the gun range. The angular body style along with its short-barrel design gives it that "Halo-like", futuristic look. Aside from loving the aesthetics, I'm also very pleased with the performance of this shotgun. I cycled about 200 rounds of Fiocchi Home Defense buckshot without a hitch. I followed up with another 200 rounds of cheap target shot and it cycled all of them perfectly once again. I've had my eye on this shotgun for quite a while, and I'm glad I finally pulled the trigger on the purchase (pun intended). I'm incredibly happy that I found Bud's gun shop online! This is the fourth firearm I've purchased from buds, and I've been happy with every single transaction. Thanks Bud's!

My Tristar is ok. It doesn’t like the lighter loads as it tends to jam. Aside from that, it’s a cool piece to have on my gun wall. Buds Gun Shop is my go to for everything firearm related. Thank you!

Fun sci-fi shotgun. Works good with shells rated for 1350' muzzle velocity, under that it doesn't cycle reliably for me. Bullpup feels very bulky. Watch for pricing variations. I've seen this shotgun from $375 to over $700. I would look at the new S&W real hard but it's 2x the price too. For what this is for, it's fun and works well. I've shot birdshot to slugs and they all cycle as long as the power is up. The charging handle is a little unique.

Love this gun, put it on layaway, so satisfied with buds, for some weird reason my payment was short by .25 cents? Idk how that happens but buds took care of it, and shipped my new semi bullpup 12g !

If your looking to buy a bull pup shot gun this is the one to buy because you can run quite a few different shells through it at the same time it does hold up to 14 rounds it would be a great home s Defense weapon with the right shells i like centurions myself

Looking around for a home defense tactical 12g I came across the TriStar Bullpup. It was recommended to run 50rds through it for break-in. I had some 20 year old 2 3/4 12g rounds, a mix of birdshot, 00 buck, and a few slugs. After running approx. 40rds of the old ammo through I was thoroughly impressed. Only 1 round failed to fully eject (stovepiped) and maybe 6 did not feed from the mag to the chamber. Some of the old rounds brass ends had some corrosion and the factory magazines are a close tolerance and didn't feed those rounds well. I have ran approx. another 30rds of new 3" #4 birdshot through and the gun shot flawlessly. Only negatives are where the button to lock the bolt open is tricky to get to with your right hand when pulling the action open, and it's almost impossible to put a fresh mag in with the action closed (it can be done but not easy). Overall I am extremely satisfied with the weapon and price point. I would recommend. It is a blast to shoot.

I bought this because it reminds me of the halo battle rifle. This is fun to shoot. Only draw back is getting the mag in correctly. Doesnt slide in very easy and can get frustrating. It has a mini duckbill and feeds in similar to an sks mag but the magwell is wide and sloppy

bargain price for formidible and intimidating close quarter defense firearm. i cannot post the usual response when friends see it the 1st time because profanity always accompanies their wide eyes! Buds is the best.

I got this because I loved the look of a space-age battle shotgun. As I gave it the brief once over I noticed that it is basically a SAIGA-12 action with a lot of plastic around it and the trigger moved forward. The trigger pull is very long and heavy but the added weight is very well balanced and if you choose to grip it with one hand on top like you are wringing out a towel, you can control it much better than a normal shotgun. My peeves are as follows, you cannot load it with the action closed, and the button to hold the action open is on the right side along with the charging handle. This makes for a very awkward load until you master finding the little button with your thumb while pulling back with the rest of your hand. I don't know about you but when I am grabbing something my natural reaction is to close my fingers AND thumb. Next, they put the sling on the wrong side. Especially if you don't want it to get in the way of your sidearm and you are right-handed.

This is such a fun an awesome gun. I’ve read you have to put buck shot in for first 100 rounds. I started off with Winchester 2 2/3 1550 velocity 1 1/6 oz 4 shot. Shot a hole dang box no problem. I love this thing. For defense it should take anything coming down my hallway out with no problem an hopefully not my walls lol. You no like a mouse are something. Got this for my son for kind of a gag birthday gift. He was big into HALO back in the day. Turns out to be quite a strong little shotgun and quite reliable. It is just really fun to shoot. Bout to get a drum magazine for it. Great price for the nice quality. Buds shipping is fast and packaging was perfect. Recommended

Love it love it love it !!!! So got the weapon and took it out the box. Assembled the shotgun with the forward grip and carry handle sights. Read the directions as always. Checked the weapon over and fired five slugs no issues . Big ��. Then I put it in the box after leaving a friend house and went home . I was busy no time to shot so it sat for a few days. The next time out I loaded the mags and cycled through the action and thank god because something was not right. Bolt was not retracting all the way back . Didn’t feel like I should shot it . Called tristar. Spoke to Tom. Awesome Guy. He said I’m sending you a shipping label . Shipped it back and within two days it was fixed and in my hands. The issues was something to do with the bolt not lining up with the rails it rides on. They replaced the bolt and needless to say it is a dream to shoot. Over fifty round of slug/buck/and heavy load bird shot . Not a single issue cycling what ever a had in my bag to shoot. It’s an AK DISGNED WEAPON SO IT WILL CHEW UP AMMO LOKE IT SHOULD. Sucks I had that issue but I’m glad I cycle my weapons every time I take them to the range.
Inclosing . Tristar customer service it TOP NOTCH. If you have any doubt in your mind about buying this weapon, I hope this help you make up your mind.
