The Carbine model of CZ 557 combines the quick handling characteristics of a shorter barreled rifle with the benefits of back up iron sights. This is the preferred configuration of many professional hunters. Its receiver is machined from steel billet and the bolt has the ability to be cycled while the gun is on safe. The Carbine has a fiber optic front sights, fully adjustable trigger and an oil-finished walnut stock with cheekpiece. The short extractor or "push feed" system makes it easier to single load the rifle, which makes for easier range work.

This is my 3rd 557 among other cz products that I own. I have one 270 and another in 6.5x55. CZ does not leave anybody in the dark with their line of rifles. This particular rifle is a work of art. While others may argue about cz and it’s customer service, I have found cz flawless and I have spoke with customer service about a new front sight. (Which was sent to me free) this rifle is just like the others, flawless and very accurate, go ahead and assume sub MOA because that’s what I have with all three. I bought the last one on buds, but if it ever shows up again, I hope you buy it! As for buds, fast and easy as always!
