Magnum Research 1911 GR Model .45 ACP 5.05" - Blue/Black, 8+1 Rounds, Wood Grips, 3-Dot Sights

I Picked up the pistol earlier and put 50 rounds through it. Everything seems to function properly, other than the springs in the 8 round mags are super tight - neither want to feed the first round smoothly when fully loaded. I’ll just use them like 7 round magazines and stick with my Wilson combat 8 round mags, at least until these are broken in... Sights are on right out of the box - it’s very accurate. Even so, I’m not a fan of the stock sights and will at least replace the front one with fiber optic. The slide is smooth as glass and my wife can even pull it. The hammer is equally smooth and easy to pull. Honestly, I just spent nearly $1k on a colt commander a month ago and this pistol seems to be all around better for a lot less money. It even has less (none...) of a rattle to it than the colt commander. This pistol deserves 5 stars, but Bud’s Gun Shop shipped me one with the wrong grips. They were supposed to be wood, but I got black and gray G10. From the time I ordered and paid to today it’s been over 3 weeks and I wasn’t about to send it back... Even so, if someone from Bud’s would have just contacted me and let me know, I would have appreciated it. I feel like that’s the least they could do, after spending that much money with them. Regardless, everything else with Bud’s Gun Shop went smoothly, so no hard feelings.
