The rifle was purchased because it is made in America. This 1860 is in 44-40 a round I never owned. I have a 1860 in 45 colt and very impressed with it but the jury is still out on the 44-40 due to time constraints but if we are talking fit and finish along with a smooth operation their is no question Henry is second to none.

Gee willy willakers! Now that's a work of art. Henry, you old Benjamin Tyler why do you have to look so good? Your're prettier than a bucket of hog livers. I bought this gun from Bud's, while I was selling guns @ Bass pro shops (Nashville, TN). I didn't carry this gun. When it came in, I took it out of the box & ADMIRED a beautiful rifle. Like all Henrys, it is a fine Piece. I placed it back in the box & put it in one of my safes. Pete B.

This is a truly BEAUTIFUL piece of Henry Art. The fit and finish is spectacular. I am building my retirement home and I will have a 150 yard rifle range on my property. Once it is done, I will report back on how it shoots. Until then, it is safely encased in the equally beautiful Henry Embossed Leather Rifle Case, available from Henry's Pride Shop. I am a collector/shooter, not a hunter, This is my finest Henry. I place it equally in value to my Ruger No. 1 Anniversary Edition gun. It is my finest Ruger. Bud's service, as always was outstanding.
