These are significantly rougher than the grips that came with the pistol. They give much better purchase, but might be abrasive to some. The only downgrade I give them, is they appear exactly as pictured except mine are reverse polarized with the dark middle grip being the right grip whereas the light middle one is the left grip. So when they advertise "colors may very," that is true within the pair. Bottom line, the government model grips do not "match" (as they show in the picture) where the officer model grips appear to match (at least in the illustrations.) If you like what you see, then they may be a five star item for you.
