• Q: I've got a carbine length tube, is a standard buffer good or do I need a heavier one?

  Stephen, All ARs are a little different. I have standard buffer tubes on several carbine length direct impingement systems and they all cycle well. Heavier isn't always better. Generally a heavier buffer will reduce bolt bounce. Heavier buffers can actually increase recoil (muzzle flip) due to more moving mass.
  The correct weight to for your rifle will depend on your particular barrel - gas port size, gas system length, barrel length, type of ammo.
  You aren't going to find the perfect buffer weight for your setup without trial and error. You might be able to run an H2 or H3.

• Q: Will this operate with a Smith and Wesson M&P 15 lower?

• Q: When reviewing the barrels I saw that some models have the muzzle permanently attatched( MACHINED AS 1) does any one know if this barrel has it as removable?

  Mat - this one wil be removable (and easily so). It is only the rifles with the barrels shorter than 16" that have the compensators pinned or welded - they use a 14 1/2" barrel, and have to permanently attach the compensators in order to meet the 16" barrel requirements. Otherwise they'd have to sell their 14 1/2 " barreled AR carbines s ";Short Bareled Rifles" and everyone would need the ATF $200 tax stamp to buy one. This one, though, as it is on a pistol with no barrel length requirements, will only be screwed onto the barrel threads, and easily removable for changing it out or mounting a suppressor. .
