The Rock series is Rock Island Armory's most well-optioned line of 1911
pistols built in the traditional 70 series design with the addition of
next level upgrades. Like all Rock Island 1911s, each is built using
4140 ordnance steel on the industry's best CNC machines while being
hand-fitted and tested to strict tolerance guidelines for unmatched
quality and value.
The Rock Ultra full size HC is built with a 5" button rifled barrel
supported by a full length guide rod. It includes a double stack magwell
with a 16-round capacity. Smooth angled, snag-free styling allows for
quick draw in fast need situations. This firearm features a low profile
adjustable rear sight and high visibility fiber optic front sight and
includes a skeletonized hammer and trigger with adjustable over travel
stop and ambidextrous safety. The Rock Ultra is finished with a tough,
parkerized matte coating and battle-ready G10 tactical grips. True to
all Rock Island 1911s, the Rock Ultra comes with a crisp factory 4- to
6-pound trigger, which gives you a great experience right out of the
box.

Recently purchase from Bud"s Gun Shop. Arrived at my FFL dealer in just a few days and in good condition. Went through a box of 50 rounds. Had 1 failure to feed which should be expected with first clip. After that it performed flawlessly. Felt well balanced. Recoil was only about that of my 9mm's

Rock Island Armory Rock Ultra FSHC 10MM G10 Grips is one fine 1911. The fit to frame is outstanding .The fit is better than my Ruger 1911. You can't beat Bud's on the price . You Can't beat Bud's period. 5 Star Operation. I highly recommend the Rock Ultra to others. And Bud's Gun shop.

Nice and accurate , no issues at all with it with several different ammo. It’s nice if you have large hands like me. Not to heavy for EDC

Really a nice looking gun and shoots well with minimal recoil. Field stripping to clean is the only drawback.

I am a person who likes 1911 style pistols. I kept seeing this double stack 10mm on Buds web site. I didn’t really want or need to get another caliber, But glad I did. This is one bad A** double stack (16 rounds) 1911. The quality greatly exceeded My expectations for a sub $500 1911. This gun just feels right in your hand. Excellent fit and finish And very, very accurate right out the box. I am over the top happy with this purchase from Buds. As usual Buds top notch customer service!!

I bought this Rock Island Armory 10mm 1911 on a Whim. Never Owned one. This is a Gem and a Handful. I absolutely love my Double Stack 10mm. They’ll know you’re not firing a .22 or even a 9mm when you’re @ the Range. A beast!

This pistol may seem heavy to those who are use to Glocks or any other “lighter” manufacturer’s but it is solid. This pistol loves eating flat nose, heavier bullets so keep this in mind before purchasing. (180 grain and up) I shoot Underwood 200 grain JHPs and it’s an animal. Whatever threat is in front of you will be humbled by this package. Thanks again Buds

It ran good no problems. I like the wide grip. I have large hands. The pistol is pretty heavy. I got it for a garage gun. For that it is perfect.
