Overall this is a fun little gun. I really like the compact size, and the recoil is barely noticeable even with magnum loads. Wife and kids have shot it with no problems. The trigger is surprisingly good for a lever gun. I did have to shorten the tube mag spring, and the loading gate is very stiff and by far the worst part about this gun. Aside from loading it, everything else about this gun is great.

The Rossi R92 Lever Action Carbine .357 is a fine rifle. Handles well and the lever action is smooth with no hangups. What I do not like is the side loading port. The loading port is very stiff and not smooth. I have to force the shells in and sometimes I have to use a wooden pencil to force the bullet in the port after the third bullet is loaded.

there were many videos on YouTube warning of the problems facing a new Rossi 356 magnum lever action. It seemed I had experienced most of them but now that I keep the magazine loaded with the last snap cap wedged into the loading port keeping it depressed. I also use a bore snake so I don’t have to take the action apart to clean it. I mounted a Rossi rail/peep sight combo but the front sight was way too low for me. After selecting higher and higher front sights, I found what I needed at Skinner Sights. I mounted a 0.625 Guide front sight. It might be a little too high, but I was able to adjust the peep sight. It is now one of my favorite range toys.

I've fired about 60-70 rounds of 357(mix of FMJ, HP, and Hornady FTX)....no FTF or FTE and every round went bang. Quality/fit and finish is really good. My rifle came in with beautiful dark brown wood furniture. I really like it....IMO looks better than the lighter shade of brown in the stock photo. For the price I paid for this lever gun(a shade under $700 including tax and transfer fee) it really is a no brainer if you're looking to add one to your collection. Unless you are dead set on a Henry or a Marlin, I don't think the extra few hundred bucks is worth it. You can use that extra money for ammo or accessories. I would recommend the R92. A+

Great price, fast delivery, really good looking, well made, right out of the box didn't do any adjustments to the sight, a pleasure to shoot on either 38 or 357. Recommend 100%.

I have been a Buds customer for at least 10 years, there prices can't be beat, bought multiple guns and accessories from them. I have always been pleased with them. As for the gun that I most recently purchased I have not shot it yet but will be taking it out next weekend. I have been wanting a lever gun for awhile and I am very glad I went with the Rossi, it is priced for the working man. Fit and finish on the gun is great as well. Lifelong Buds customer here, highly recommend.

I recently purchased the Rossi 92 .357 Magnum from Bud’s Gun Shop, and it’s a solid 4-star rifle. It excels in accuracy and lever-action smoothness, making it a standout in lever-action rifles. However, I deducted one star due to the loading process; inserting ammo can be tricky and sometimes painful, risking cuts or sore fingers. Despite this, the Rossi 92 offers a great blend of classic design and reliable performance. A big thanks to Bud’s Gun Shop for this fantastic addition to my collection

The Rossi R92 with 16 inch barrel arrived at my local FFL dealer rapidly and in perfect condition. This carbine looks great and is also very accurate with both 357 M and 38 special ammunition. I have only one complaint. It seems that Braztech puts the same magazine spring in both their 20 inch and 16 inch carbines. The loading process is horribly slow and painful in the 16 inch carbine. This it seems is very common for this weapon and I don't understand why the manufacturer continues with this process. A shorter magazine spring would make this carbine stellar.
