Jury is still out. Took this to the range and had all kinds of feeding issues. Bought a few of the 15 round promags and those fed terribly. Watched some videos and will make some changes before my next trip to the range. Hopefully it goes better. But right out of the box, it had lots of the issues I read about. Bummer.

great gun and fun to shoot. you cant beat it for the price. I was surprised at how good the quality was. I think I will get the 45 next..

Good service from Buds .only took 2 shots to sight gun in . I have a high point pistol that is very accurate so was not worried about purchasing another gun from them .Put reflex sight on , to old to look through peep but it shot good with it .Thanks to Buds for excellent service .

This is a Very Dependable and Accurate 9mm carbine. I left the iron peep sights on the carbine, adjusted them on target and shot a number of 5 shot groups at 25 yards with all shots touching and forming ragged holes. The trigger was deliberate. Much like the triggers we found on our service model M-1's and M-14's, back in the day.
The service manual recommends that owners count their rounds fired from Hi Point Carbines. Clean the barrel and brush/clean out the bolt area after each range session. Give it a light spray with gun oil everywhere metal pieces rub against each other. When you have expended 1,500 to 2,000 rounds, you are encouraged to field strip your Hi Point Carbine for cleaning.
WATCH THE CLEANING VIDEO ON YOUTUBE BEFORE YOU FIELD STRIP YOUR CARBINE. THIS IS IMPORTANT. You have a lot of parts to disassemble and you need to put the parts back in the same order they were removed in. Keep in mind that this is complicated, but it is doable..... The more times you field strip your Hi-Point 9mm carbine for cleaning, the easier it becomes. Buy your self a bore snake, some 12 ga shotgun patches, a small toothbrush and some gun oil in a spray can for the easy clean ups between 2,000 fired rounds.
You will Really like your high point 9mm carbine and your groups at 25 yards, 50 yards, 75 yards and 100 yards will improve with each application. DW

I LOVE my Hi Point 995 carbine. Don't like the 10 round mags but I knew this going in. Shoots every "flavor" of 9 mm ammo. every time. Iron sights spot on out of the box. Would most definitely buy again.

I was surprised how smooth and accurate this rifle is, I only got 1 misfire out of 100 rounds which is great!. Feels a little cheap but looks great!. Although is these are cheap guns i'm very satisfied with this buy.

I took this to the range today and all i can say is awesome awesome awesome etc. etc. etc. I put about 200 rounds thru it with only 1 fail to feed. It was with the first mag around the 5th shot and did not happen again.That means i put the next 195+ rounds with no problem.(Mag break in) At 50 yards i was consistently putting them in about a 6 inch group with standard sights.I did this strait out of the box without touching the sights at all.

Could not be more pleased with this purchase great gun just what I was looking for great for just plinking around at the range although it does have a small capacity magazine I still believe this is an excellent choice for home defense if you order from Buds you can't go wrong great place to do business I highly recommend

I love this gun! It shoots real nice. I held a super tight group the first time I shot it.
