I was looking for a conceal carry for my girlfriend. The SCCY 9mm was perfect for such a gift. Ten rounds and she has no trouble handling it. With such a low price, I should have bought two - one for myself.

The DVG-1 RD Ready is exactly what I needed to use for a back up carry. I have installed a Crimson Trace Red Dot on it and it performs as good as I had hoped. I have shot about 200 rounds, and no problems so far. A great price, and a great gun. I would recommend.

Great gun for the price. Accurate and reliable

This pistol SCCY dvg-1 RDR was purchased over one month ago. Since this time I have been able to take it to the range several times and have run a little over 100 rounds through it. For the pros and cons of this pistol I will start with the pros: I am 83 years old and have arthritis in my hands this pistol I am able to shoot without much pain to the arthritis through my hands giving me a 10-round capability in case of an undesired defensive situation. The grip is extremely comfortable and the trigger causes no pain to my trigger finger during the firing of the pistol. The pistol has been extremely reliable and has not jammed or malfunctioned in regards to firing rounds. I am able to carry this concealed carry and appendix holster very comfortably and in some of my trousers I am also able to carry it in a pocket holster. Using both iron sights and a red dot side I have been able to shoot this quite well. Customer service is excellent and responses quite rapidly. The only con is that one of the magazines will not lock the slide back after the last round. However a quick call to customer service and two free magazines are being mailed to me at this point I am pleased with his purchase and would recommend it. Hoping that the top management at SCCY will resolve the magazine issue.

Finished well- Got off on the wrong foot but turned out it was no big deal and proving to be a good bargain. There was a feed issue that was easily remedied. After a close looking over of things it turned out to be the magazine springs. Visual inspection but no cleaning out of the box 200 rounds went downrange [just to make sure] without a hiccup after the spring correction. The top coils that the followers ride on were angled slightly wrong on both and easily corrected. No issues after that. Subsequently ordered two more mags from SCCY and they're fine. Found little evidence online it was nothing more than a fluke. Idk but suspect maybe those magazine springs were for one of their hammer-fired guns. Whatever. Put a micro RDS on my new little micro 9 along with co-witness fiber optic sights and have a dependable little dedicated-for-bicycle-riding carry gun. Stowed in a belly band with two spare mags. It's not a tack driver or race gun. Bench-rested with range ammo my best 3 round rapid fire groups (not triple taps; just about a second per shot) averaged about 3"-4" at 20yds. For the type of gun and price that's darned good. Minute-of-bad-guy engagement ranges appropriate performance. Pretty comfy to shoot, too. My first SCCY. I don't need another (didn't 'need' this one) and probably won't buy another. Was just curious. Definitely would recommend one to anyone looking for a dependable budget-priced carry piece. If not for the initial, albeit brief, disappointment, all things considered this would garner 5 stars for expectations met and exceeded.

Junk. You get what you pay for. Striker pin was getting stuck in slide opening. Extractor is trash. 40 rounds 4 FTE double feeds. Tried a second pistol, striker pin wouldn't even hit the primer. Wouldn't even pop a single round. Save yourself time and buy a Taurus g2c, or the new g3c for a few dollars more. You get significantly more gun for the price. Plus a way better trigger than the sccy. The DVG-1 trigger isn't horrible, especially when you compare it to the CPX. It's kind of slushy not crispy. Had to polish the trigger bar and deburred it. Sharp side was dragging on the trigger frame keeping the trigger from resetting. Felt like sand in the mechanism. Now that said, if you're looking for something to tinker with, practice stippling or gunsmithing, it's a great trial and error gun. I stippled mine before I went to my HK. Get some good practice in. Keep it on the range and you'll be fine. Don't trust your life to it
