I absolutely LOVE this firearm! I was quite surprised by the smooth and light trigger action (single action) and with the adjustable rear sight, it's an awesome gun! Very accurate, very controllable and digests everything from snake shot, wadcutters to +p 260gr jacketed projectiles. I highly recommend this firearm and again, Bud's had the best price!

I honestly would not recommend this gun to anyone. It is the worst gun I’ve ever purchased. Right out of the box it wouldn’t work. The hammer catches and will almost not go back in single action. The trigger will not reset on its own. I have to push it forward. There is a pin that sticks out on the left side that the cylinder contacts when open. The cylinder won’t spin when pulling the trigger in double action. I did check the single action at my FFL but but thought oh it’s new it may just need to work in. I didn’t try the double action. I have an e-mail in to Charter arms now waiting for their response. Not sure how they let this gun out of the factory.

Very pleased with this revolver. I've owned other Charter-Arms 44's before, two original Bulldogs with the three-inch barrels, and a newer one with the 2.5-inch. Subjectively, the felt recoil was quite sharp, to me. Now, whether this one's four-inch barrel and/or newer grip, it is very pleasant and easy to shoot. My intent is to carry this revolver when I'm woods hiking, or canoeing. A big plus is Charter Arms customer service. They answer their phone line in a prompt and timely manner. I will be purchasing a second one soon, that's how good this revolver fits my needs.

great gun, it’s light for the size and has a good feel to it. Took it to the range and it is very accurate, and fun to shoot, if you’re looking for a 44 revolver I definitely recommend.

just got this gun love big bore revolvers, impressed with fit and finish also seems smooth to handle. Can’t wait to shoot to ck out recoil and accuracy. As usual great to deal with Buds always a good transaction

Purchased this revolver a while back and Buds service was excellent. For an affordable revolver it has a decent double action trigger and the single action is very crisp. I have swapped out the grips for larger grips which makes it a little more enjoyable at the range but if I had to carry it the small rubber grip fits my hand well and does offer recoil protection.I enjoy the one piece frame design I think it will last quite a while. The only downside is the price of the ammunition but we are all dealing with that. I’d give the revolver four stars

Great revolver for the money! Great transaction at Buds!

I bought this revolver for protection while out on canoe trips, and because it would not break my heart as much if it went overboard than my S&W 69. That said, I have been pleasantly surprised on how quickly this revolver has grown on me. Not too bad to shoot with factory ammo, but she bites some with 260 gr. handloads at 825 fps. That's okay because I am not going to shoot a lot of them. The front sight was bent slightly to the left. I thought about sending it back to Charter Arms, but it is very slight, so I simply adjusted the rear sight. I know Charter Arms would/will correct it if I wanted because I had to deal with them with another gun before. They were great folks when I lost a part disassembling one of their revolvers. My collection of Charter Arms will continue to grow.
