The Radical Firearms 16" Big Bore Profile 458 Socom AR rifle uses MIL-STD Upper and lower receivers along with a 15" Mhr free-float rail system for increased accuracy, keeping your hands cool, and giving you plenty of room for accessories. It utilizes a 4140 chrome moly vanadium barrel with a Panzer brake and a Adaptive Tactical EX Performance stock.

Time will tell. First day at the range I had numerous jams, misfeeds, and rounds stuck 1/2 way in the chamber. Radical told me to polish the ramp. Really? I need to polish the ramp on a new gun to get it to work right? Best scenario is that it's an easy fix, worse case is but a new barrel from Tromix or Rock River or other licensed manufacturer. Other than that, the gun is okay, not great, not terrible, they have upgraded the stock to nicer one with decent padding, although the recoil is not bad at all anyway. Ammo is expensive, so be aware of that before purchasing (try DefenderAmmunition.com).

Great gun, buyer beware, if you have 1.70 to 3.00 a round to spend on ammo, buy this gun. Gun itself is sepctacular, great shipping speed. I personally did not do research ammo prices. If you want good bullet and cheap cost don't buy this. If you don't care about ammo pricing then by all means this gun is a beast. Contrary to you tube videos and myths the felt recoil on this rifle is minimal, would I put my grandma on it no. The panzer muzzle break is great, the compatiblity with other rifles on AR-15 platform is great. Would do five out of five except ammo price sucks.

A few issues with the follower in the magazine not wanting to travel smoothly but overall this is an awesome rifle and a blast to shoot. Beautiful handrail and the grip is comfortable. Not too excited about the non adjustable stock but the rubber on the butt pad helped a little with recoil. I'd give it a 4.5

Ordered this rifle because of the price and couldn’t be any more happier with it. It arrived in no time at all. Came in a decent case and was packed really well. The rear butt stock is somewhat unforgiving after numerous rounds through it. But that will be taken care of before I take the gun out again. The fit and finish were spot on and I could not find a single blemish on it. For the price you cannot ask for a better big bore AR. THE 458 Socom is one heck of a round and this is a great firearm to through it down range with. I cannot wait to get this bad boy out and do some hog hunting with it.

The fit and finish are as good as any of my other AR's and the price for this 100% TexasUS made gun is hard to beat. My only complaint would be the butt stock. My shoulder would not have fared very well after a mag or two with the narrow, hard butt pad so I have replaced it with a MagPul UBR G2 and put a real recoil pad. Bottom line is that this is a solid gun and if you are in the market for a large caliber AR and don't have a bucket load of money or just don't want to spend a bucket load get it.

After deep contemplation and extensive researching I decided to go with the 458 socom as my alternate caliber weapon for medium distance engagements. In review of the weapon: i was extremely hesitant on purchasing this due to the lack of information i could find on it. But i would highly recommend. Simple ar platform design and takes standard 5.56 .223 magazines ( holds11) instead of 30. Accuracy consistent at 100 yards and ran 50 rounds through no problem. Anyone interested in an interesting caliber outside of the norm then i would highly recommend this gun. Do not hesitate to buy from buds. Service is always A+ and shipping is fast. 3 days after i ordered it was here. Buds is my go to gun shop.
