Hi Brian and welcome. This normally happens around this time of year likely due to hunting preparation, new hunters etc. Rifle production also tends to decrease in favor of the record handgun and sporting rifle sales. Revenue also drives the trend. These are my opinions, but the time frame is consistent. Cheers, stay safe and enjoy!
