  • I am not a SIG person but I am interesetd but i heard there are different triggers. What trigger does this gun have and what is it like as far as weigh and reset? I picked up a 229 that was 757 dollars and the trigger was great and the reset was very short.....I am wondering if all SIGs 229s are alike in that respect and if not .... how do I know?

  • Stacy, Sig has several triggers on the P series. They have the Dual Adjustable Trigger, ELS-Enhanced Leverage System Trigger, P-SAIT Trigger P Series Precision Adjustable Intermediate Trigger. and SRT Short Reset Trigger. Research each gun to see what you have, No triggers are exactly the same. Just something you got to live with.

  • CZ triggers are head and shoulders better then sig triggers. Check out a CZ shadow 2 for one of the sweetest trigger pulls you'll ever feel. CZ75 and czp01 are nice too, not that sig triggers are bad but CZ are made high level competition.

  • Stacy, not all Sig triggers are the same. You likely got a model that has a Short Reset Trigger (SRT). You will be fine if you make sure the model you are interested in has the SRT Trigger. youtube.com/watch?v=YfmF04U5zzQ

  • 11 LBS Double action and 4.5 LBS Single action. I believe that Sig P226, P227, P229, P228 all have the SAME triggers as the same trigger kit (SRT KIT) fits all 4 models. Sig SA/DA trigger is good. Just avoid their strike fire or DAO line as the trigger is meh. Also, if you have a lot of money to spend, check out SIG P210, the trigger is even BETTER. I hope this helps.

  • In my opinion the sigs that i have handled have great triggers. Double action comes in around 11 pounds and the single action coming in around 4.5 pounds.
