Smith & Wesson M&P15ORC STATE COMPLIANT 10+1 .223 REM/5.56 NATO 16"
I want to see if this rifle is chambered and safe to shoot 5.56 ammo and not be out of spec of 223 pressures.

Brenden - Congratulations! i'm happy to see someone who actually takes some time to check, rather than just buying off on some theory someone randomly just throws up on You Tube. This rifle is fully rated to fire either .223 or 5.56 ammunition. It is actually chambered in 5.56 and therefore safe to fire .223. This makes a very versatile gun, versus one chambered in just .223 that isn't really meant to fire 5.56. You can buy and shoot whichever is most economical for you. Enjoy your M&P 15.

Brenden, yes Sir. The barrel is stamped 5.56NATO and will fire both 5.56 and .223 no issues.
