It is a short to moderate range round for large game sighted in at 250 yards you will be 19.7 inches low at 400 yards with a 300 grain bullet at 2700 fps ballisticstudies.com/Knowledgebase/.375+Ruger.html my distance limit for it would be around 300 yards as the bullet drop would make estimating distances critical

Scott, no, the 375 Ruger is more a "Big Game" Round out to medium distances. It can go out to 800 yards are so but poor BC "Ballistics Coefficients" limit performance. A 338 Edge, Lapua, Rum, 338/378 all would be a much better choice IMHO due to the availability to easily obtain higher BC bullets than can are currently readily available for the 375 Ruger.
