Is there any meaningful difference between this and the MSR load? Or is it just the box is different?

The MSR is simply optimized for more reliable operation in the AR "Carbine length Gas System" which required some fine tuning in primer and powder selection. Mid length and rifle length gas systems are fine with either MSR or Standard loading.
Christopher, Good catch on the fusion ammo. The only difference from the straight Fusion and MSR Fusion in primers. MSR is acronym for "Modern Sporting Rifle" ammo. MSR Fusion specifically for use in the AR platform with free floating firing pins. Also faster/hotter powder specifically for AR DI gas systems. So the short of it is the MSR Fusion has harder primers-different powder formulated for AR gas systems specifically designed that way by Federal. To answer your question. No meaningful difference.
