  • no you can not safely as Rimless cases like the 40 and 10mm headspace on the front of the case and since the cases are a different length you will require a barrel fitted for that specific caliber .357 and 38 can both be fired in a .357 due to the fact that they are a rimmed cartridge that headspaces based on the rim seating against the face of the cylinder

  • You cannot shoot 40 S&W from a 10mm semi-auto. I have 2 barrels for my Witness Hunter in 10mm for that purpose. One is a 40 and one is a 10mm. If the extractor has enough tension on the cartridge case it may fire but do not be stupid enough to do it.

  • You can Joel however, for safety and warranty purposes, I recommend only shooting with the correct caliber marked barrel. Just my 2 cents.

  • Joel, I have model 20 glock and 10mm Springfield. I shoot 40 S&W out of them both regularly at the range with no barrel change. Exact same bullet/round dimension/circumference Don't know about this firearm, but I shoot 40 S&W out of my 10 mm's often. No issues so far.
