  • I just purchased the S&W 686 and was wondering if someone could recommend the best .38 special ammo to use with this revolver? I have already purchased the 125 & 148 GRS. .357 magnum ammo for this. Thanks in advance, guys! Much appreciated!

  • Some really good .38 practice ammo can be had from Remington and Sig Sauer's new line. The Remington .38 with the 130grn FMJ makes great range ammo at good price. They're always running it on sale or with rebates. The new Sig line of practice ammo is top grade stuff. They have a .38 , 125grn FMJ that has great accuracy from my revolvers. For self defense loads in .38 check out some of the new Hornady defense loads and I also really like Liberty Civil Defense .38 +P with super fast 50 grn bullets. There are probably more loads for the .38 than any other ....have fun finding what your gun likes best.

  • Gold Dot hollow point 135grain is my favorite for self defense. Corbin 110grain hollow point is nice too. Very nice revolver, congrats on this one.
