Dale, unfortunately the "circular" magazine releases are not ambidextrous to change/switch over. The key shaped 1911 magazine releases are ambi and can be switched to the other side/replaced. This is a picture example of the ambi type mag release : (google.com/search?q=Rock+Island+Armory+51543+M1911-A1+CS+Tact+FDE+magazine+release&tbm=isch&source=iu&ictx=1&fir=bgY1NySpq8nVUM%253A%252CmRetoG7k6saxlM%252C_&usg=__aSIsSSdtXLmjYfwmVGSY0bizZMM%3D&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiD1oyG2MHbAhUS4VMKHb3xDhMQ9QEIWDAE#imgrc=Px3widhSFyAB5M:)
