These are a hot round, the cases tend to swell some. I am pleased that Buds carry 327 ammo.

Great hard to find ammunition. Burns clean and gets me two inch groups at 50 yards. Hits surprisingly hard (deeper divots in my ar500 targets than my .44 magnum). I highly recommend this ammunition.

I purchased this ammo for my Ruger SP101. This revolver is very accurate with 32 h&r magnum loads. These rounds were the 1st 327 Fed through the revolver, the 1st cylinder shot all over the place, and extraction was sticky. The second cylinder gave identical performance, and upon inspection, 5/6 of the primers had backed out of the spent brass. One of those primers was pierced. I intend to contact Federal about these rounds, I will NOT shoot anymore of these!

Great ammo in a hard to find caliber. This ammo is hot but very accurate out of both my SP101 and Henry Big Boy rifle.

Great product at a great price. This was purchased for a Ruger LCR 327 Fed Mag. I have put several types and brands through the gun. American Eagle 100gr proved to be the best. It also had the most recoil even more than CORBON. Doing a little reading proved that this ammo also had the best Chrono and performance out of the little gun. This ammo delivers all the hype the 327 has been generating. You won't be disappointed.

They shoot like you'd expect factory ammo to shoot - without a hiccup.

Great ammo that was relatively hard to find. It shot straight without gumming up the barrel or cylinder. The .327 round is known for it's semi twisted recoil. This ammonium, yet powerful, was tame in comparison to buffalo bore but effective. Using a .32 short or long is adequate for target and phone booth self defense, but this little snub nose .327(Taurus) does well with an American Eagle round and cycles as necessary.

How can so much power be contained in such a small package? The Federal American Eagle 327 Fed Mag 100 gr. Soft Point ammo is extremely powerful for just being a "32". Accuracy was superb and the ammo performs better than expected. I did my normal series of testing of the ammo for performance. I utilized Ballistic Gelatin (BG) with firing from a rest 10 feet from point of impact. The 100 gr. SP bullet penetrated 18.25" with a strikingly wicked wound channel. The recovered slug expanded to .421" which is a 31% increase in size, and weighed in at 92.45gr. which is a loss of 7.55 gr. The next test has 4 layers of Army Wool Blanket which measured 1/4" thick in front of the ballistic gelatin. Firing again from 10' the bullet penetrated 16.1" and expanded to .405", a 26.6% increase in size and weighed in at 93.6 gr. which is a loss of 6.4 gr. There were very little flecks of wool from the blanket inside the BG but was not picked up by the Soft Point bullet, unlike the effects of a Hollow Point bullet acting as a "cookie cutter" on the fabric. My overall opinion of this cartridge is that it would suffice very well as a self-defense cartridge, being very accurate, have excellent penetration without being over penetrating and have very good weight retention and expansion. In general shooting, from a Taurus 605 framed .327 Magnum 2" bbl. revolver, the recoil of the firearm was 'strikingly felt', unlike any other handgun I have fired (I have shot everything from .22LR up to .44 Magnums; .32ACP to 10mm & .45ACPs). After three or four shots, Once the factory hard rubber grips were changed to Hogue Rubber grips, shooting is much more tame, not unlike a .357 Mag snubbie. This is my standard cartridge for the 327 Magnum! I highly recommend it! John P. Kirkpatrick Pres. 3J Firearms Association Ellsinore, MO
