Both 5.56 & .223.
Doesn't matter.
Hi Chad, this is rated for 5.56 NATO, so it will fire both 5.56 and the lower pressure .223 cartridge.

Hi Chad and welcome. Does not matter since the rifle barrel is stamped and chambered in 5.56NATO so it will shoot both. A .223 stamped barrel would only be recommended to shoot the lower pressure .223 ammunition. cheers, stay safe and enjoy!
