This would not mount directly to the slide. This Tisas model utilizes an RMS-c footprint. To mount this optic you'd need an adapter plate.

This is great so you don’t have to go hunting for matching screws for your specific optic, and they’re also great to have around as spares if you do have the correct hardware to mount your optic.

This would be my first pistol Red Dot. I'm very slowly and reluctantly getting in touch with the 21st century while clinging onto my 1911s and revolvers. Bud's information is more than lacking in the description of these items and there doesn't seem to be very many reviews. I know I'm not going to pay 4 to $500. Anyone out there have an opinion on this or another "budget optic"

Few more holosun options in stock here. 507 is more reticle options, K series are micro rds for small guns, T series are titanium housing, and 509 series are fully enclosed, this helps keep the emitter (where the dot is projected from) clean and unobstructed, in case it gets dropped in mud or whatever. https://www.budsgunshop.com/search.php/other/in_stock/q/holosun+507c

Ameriglo makes good iron sights, but they are mostly unproven in the reddot game, for about $15 more you can get a holosun 407C which is a proven performer, they are feature rich, durable reliable and have a good name in the optics world. The 407C is just like the 507C but it only has one reticle option (a 2 moa dot) while the 507C has 3 different reticle you can cycle through. They both have 50,000 battery life, solar back up, IPX8 water proof rating, both made of 7075 T6 Aluminum, feature auto off (to conserve battery) and shake awake, so its good to go when you need it. With an RMR footprint, the Haven is ready for installation on many of the most popular handguns used for duty or self-defense. Defending you home and family requires reliable optics with immediate target acquisition, intuitive controls, and innovative electronics that work every time. The Power Protect system gives 12 hours of run time followed by 12 hours of motion-activated auto-on, and up to two years of battery life on the mid-setting. Carry-Loc lets you set it and forget it. You set the optic to the desired illumination level and disable the control buttons. This prevents inadvertent button presses. The side-loading battery compartment means that you don't have to remove and re-sight your optic after a battery change. For faster target acquisition a vertical post on the rear deck guides your eye to the dot. Perfect Zero Adjusters give windage and elevation correction of 1 MOA per click. Only a few hundred rounds in but, pleased so far. Clear glass, wide window, solid construction, crisp controls and adjustments. Shipped quickly and packaged well with mounting hardware (Loctite included). Definitely can recommend at this point but, time will tell. If the durability is there then these are serious contenders all day. Only possible complaint is the peculiar reticle size (3.5 moa) but it’s not a deal breaker. You won’t be disappointed with the purchase. Especially at these prices.
