I recently got a new semi-auto shotgun and the manufacturer recommends breaking in the action spring. Their suggestion is to run 200 rounds of heavy shotshells through it before counting on it cycling lighter loads.

Hi Jerek and welcome. Break in will be quick with 50 or so full powered loads. My grandpa also told me to store the firearm with the bolt locked back and it will condition the return spring for lighter loads as well. Cheers, stay safe and enjoy!
